Help Fund the Future - Help Support Our Working Families!
Healdsburg Community Services, Healdsburg Unified School District and Corazón Healdsburg are partnering to provide distance learning care for students and support for working parents this fall. The full-day program, Camp HBG 2.0, will be hosted at the Community Center beginning August 19 where we will focus on ensuring students have the framework and dedicated staff to be successful!
Due to COVID-19 requirements and the current economic conditions, we are seeking the community's help to financially support families who need this program. Partial funding for the program is coming from a number of sources including a sliding fee schedule for participants, generous contributions from Carson and Kathy Bock and Kiwanis Healdsburg for the summer program that will carry over into the fall, the Healdsburg School District's Afterschool Education and Safety Grant, and a one-year deferral of the City's payment for the purchase of the Community Center that will help cover the City's overhead costs for the program. However, we need to raise and additional $120,000 to meet the program's direct costs. Contributions can be made in any amount and can be paid over the course of the program. In order to meet the needs of as many families as possible, out goal is to secure pledges by Friday, August 14.
There are multiple ways to provide financial support:
$2,000: Supports one student's distance learning care. Payable at one time or installments over four months.
$20,000: Supports distance learning care for an entire classroom and up to 10 families.
$120,000: Supports distance learning care for the full program.
Or any amount that you can give!
