Active Transportation Plan (ATP)

City of Healdsburg Active Transportation Plan (ATP)

The City of Healdsburg is committed to making improvements that enhance the safety, comfort, and appeal of walking, rolling, and bicycling for people of all ages and abilities. A key component of this effort is maintaining an up-to-date Active Transportation Plan (ATP), which helps guide the City's decision-making and prioritization of infrastructure development.

What is an ATP, and why have one?

An Active Transportation Plan focuses on increasing access to active transportation modes by planning for infrastructure projects and supportive programs. It:

• Guides public and private investment.

• Creates opportunities for coordinated improvements.

• Improves eligibility and competitiveness for funding.

• Enables changes to enhance people's quality of life.

The 2025 Healdsburg ATP was adopted on January 21, 2025. This plan was shaped by input gathered through community events and workshops, online engagement portals, presentations to the City Council, Planning Commission, and Senior Advisory Commission, as well as feedback from the Healdsburg ATP Advisory Committee, ensuring it reflects the diverse needs and priorities of the community.

Below are key documents related to the ATP:

• Healdsburg Active Transportation Plan

• Existing and Proposed Bikeway and Corridor Projects (map)

• Proposed Sidewalk Improvements

• Compilation of Comments from Advisory Bodies (City Council, Planning Commission, Senior Advisory Commission)

• Online Public Comments (received from October 7 – November 30, 2024)

We encourage the community to stay involved and informed as we work towards enhancing Healdsburg's active transportation network.
